Suitable for puppies aged eight months and under, with up to six dogs in a class. Training environment in a peaceful private outdoor location in Mundham, South Norfolk. 15 mins from Beccles, 10 mins from Bungay, 5 mins from Loddon and 20 mins from Norwich.

Finishes with an assessment on 3rd July with the opportunity to continue training afterwards.

A huuuuuge congratulations to my Wednesday 10am gang on smashing their University assessment this morning! (And Miss Willow on completing hers last week!) 😍

Wednesday morning is my Monday morning, and whatever the weather, however I’m feeling about starting the week- being greeted by this lot bounding across the field pleased to see me puts me in a great mood. And then there’s the dogs! 😉

Some huge huge strides have been made here and I’m SO blooming proud of you all. 🫶🏼

ARE YOU ‘SPOILING’ YOUR DOG IN THE RIGHT WAY? 😌

If I had a pound for every consult I attend where the owners confess that the dog is ‘spoilt’, yet I’d say the dog isn’t spoilt enough…

Spoiling your dog isn’t just about giving them a bonio every time you go to the kitchen, buying them a new teddy every time you drive past the pet shop or letting them sleep on your head. In fact, I’d say that’s not really spoiling the dog at all in some cases. 🫠

If you asked your dog, would they rather have another new jumper or would they like a trip to the beach- what do you think they’d say?

Really, truly, wholeheartedly spoiling your dog means something different to me.

It’s taking them out in the middle of winter, after a long day at work- even when you don’t want to. Or getting up an hour early to do so.
It’s regular grooming, husbandry and health practices and ensuring they’re comfortable in these.
It’s hours of training, repetition, practicing and developing new skills.
It’s taking them on holiday WITH you.
It’s varying their walks, taking them out for lunch, taking them to new places, watching them run around with their mates.
It’s putting their needs before yours sometimes.
It’s advocating for them, showing up for them and helping them when they need you to.

Quite simply, it cannot just be licking the forks in the dishwasher, running riot and only going out for a 20 minute walk once a week on your day off when it’s 18 degrees and dry. 😉

So, are you REALLY spoiling your dog? Because you should be. ✌🏼

Ps. Albie has 17 jumpers so no shade there. But he’d DEFINITELY choose the beach. Duh. 🤴🏻

We’ve been attending group classes since I started on my own to continue to work him around other dogs, but also to work towards his KCGC awards. He sailed his first Bronze and Silver…

One of the criteria for Gold is an emergency stop on a recall… emergency stop on a rabbit? Yes. 🫡 on a rocket recall when he’s running at me at full pelt? Nah. 🫠

We failed on this in September as he couldn’t stop in time. Did it matter? No, I know he could do it going away from me on an actual distraction. But did I see it as a challenge to retrain his stop as I’m competitive with myself? YUP. 😌

Taught a different recall cue which I ALWAYS stopped him on, so he’d approach slower. ✅
Taught a visual cue for the stop that looked like food was coming. ✅
Taught a new verbal stop cue where he hadn’t rehearsed a bit of travelling. ✅

Et voila. 🫶🏼 and our rocket recall is still that. 🚀

Probably one of the most improved classes I’ve had in a long long time- some huge strides have been made since 5/6 of them came from training elsewhere and the other one recovered from injury. So much progress, and much more to come! Well done guys. 🤩

TRAINING AN HPR IN DISNEYLAND. 🤣

This handsome chap is Duke, a rehomed pointer from Spain. Background unknown, but observing his emotional state, arousal level and incurred frustration reactivity in the presence of anything furry or feathery that moves- we’re almost certain he’s been used for hunting. 🐦‍⬛

These dogs have seldom had to control their impulses, live in a home, tolerate any frustration, or walk on a lead. All of the things we expect of our dogs to be able to companion animals. 🫠

Duke is a blooming sweetheart, with some hefty food drive- so after a few in situ 121’s to work on some foundations, we’re now in a position to train recall and engagement in hunting dog Disneyland, TD HQ. 🌳

Still lots of work to be done, but he’s bloody well fallen on his feet with some dedicated and experienced GSP owners (who know about the whining! 🤣) and loooook how well he did yesterday. We had zero explosions! And all for his daily allowance of food. And a gun went off a couple of times. Smashing it, Dukey. 👏🏼

Albie has fortnightly physio to ensure his intermittently abnormal gait isn’t creating any secondary issues, and to manage any pain. Which we are SO grateful for, it really helps.

And I absolutely cannot tell you what a doddle it is, for us all- including him- because we’ve taught various tricks and positions. We even do his play dead to get him into position for massage and laser! 🔫

His lovely physio Sarah is always full of praise for how easy it makes her job, so she can focus on what she does best! 🙌🏼

Sending all of my love to my wonderful clients, and close friends on the devastating loss of their loveable galoof Finley. ✨

If he hadn’t have been rescued by you guys, I’m not sure where he’d have been. And you gave him absolutely everything and more- more than anyone else ever would have or could have. We were looking forward to this year being his year to finally have the normal active life he deserved after his surgeries, but sadly he couldn’t overcome a battle no one could’ve anticipated in the form of a short illness.

I have loved every second of training him- even the wild moments where we worked through some pretty heavy reactivity and him just being an absolute clown. We laughed every session at some ridiculous thing he’d do, but he had buckets of drive and would ultimately want to do the good boy thing. And even scruffpot quite liked his Sunday afternoon strolls with you. 🐺🫶🏼

From experience, the dogs that leave the biggest holes are the pain in the ass dogs- it’s never the wallflowers. You will be sorely missed, big fella. 🐾

MUZZLE TRAINING AS STANDARD. 💪🏼

In all my pet classes, we muzzle train from day dot. In just the past week, I’ve had three separate clients thank me for this as they’ve had stress free vet visits and high praise from their vets for muzzle training. 😌

We proof our training through the levels, so check out my Wednesday morning lot practicing for their next assessment- small agility with the muzzle on. 🤩

MUZZLE TRAINING AS STANDARD. 💪🏼

In all my pet classes, we muzzle train from day dot. In just the past week, I’ve had three separate clients thank me for this as they’ve had stress free vet visits and high praise from their vets for muzzle training. 😌
